Coverage Levels

Our emergency assistance coordinators, doctors and nurses can help you anywhere in the world, anytime of day.

The amount which you are responsible for paying towards each claim you file under your policy.

We cover, up to the chosen benefit limit, the cost of emergency medical care required in an emergency that occurs during your Trip.

We cover the cost of local ground ambulance service to a medical service provider if medically required.

If your attending physician recommends, in writing, your return home to your departure point, or if our medical advisors determine you are able to and recommend you return after your emergency medical treatment, we cover for you to return home safely.

If you die during Your Trip we cover reasonable expenses to return you home to your departure point.

Expenses resulting from an Emergency for services from a licensed physiotherapist, chiropractor, chiropodist, podiatrist or osteopath, if ordered by a Physician, up to the benefit limit.

In the case of hospitalization we will cover up to $250 per day up to the benefit limit for expenses for meals, hotels, phone calls and taxis if you have actually paid for them.

If you're travelling alone and are admitted to a hospital for three days or more, we cover the reasonable travel expenses for someone to be with you.

We cover expenses you incur during your trip for care prescribed or received from a licensed dentist if you need Emergency Dental Treatment.

If you sustain a bodily injury due to an accident during your Trip, and as a result of that bodily injury you die within 12 months immediately following the accident, we will pay the benefit limit.

You are covered in the event of a bodily injury sustained as a result of an accident occurring during a trip. Injury here means: loss of sight, severance of your limbs above the wrist or ankle, or loss of speech.
